Recruitment Policy

This policy outlines the procedures for recruiting staff at BOS. The goal of this policy is to ensure that we attract and retain a diverse, qualified, and skilled workforce that is committed to the school’s mission and values.

This policy applies to all staff positions at BOS, including full-time, part-time, and casual employees.

1. Job postings

All job openings at BOS Academy will be advertised through a variety of channels, including the school’s website, job boards, and social media platforms. The job posting should clearly outline the duties, responsibilities, and requirements of the position.

2. Selection process

The selection process for all staff positions at BOS Academy will involve the following steps:

  • Review of resumes and cover letters
  • Interviews with shortlisted candidates
  • Reference checks
  • Background checks (as required)
  • Final selection by the Principal and Vice-Principal
3. Diversity and inclusion

BOS Academy is committed to diversity and inclusion in its workforce. We welcome and encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, and we strive to create a workplace that is inclusive and respectful of all.

4. Onboarding

All new hires at BOS Academy will go through an onboarding process to familiarise them with the school’s policies, procedures, and culture. This will include training on relevant systems and technologies, as well as an introduction to the school’s mission and values.

7. Termination

BOS Academy reserves the right to terminate the employment of any staff member at anytime who fails to meet the school’s performance expectations or who violates the school’s policies and procedures.

8. Complaints and grievances

BOS Academy has a policy in place to address complaints and grievances from staff. Employees are encouraged to raise any concerns they may have through the appropriate channels listed in the teacher’s handbook.
