Schooling with BOS Academy
How many students in your classes?

Reception has a maximum of 6 students. Primary (Yr1-6) have between 6-8 students maximum and Secondary (Yr7-11) have between 10-12 students maximum which allows better focus and efficient learning.

How many students in your school?

We have had more than 400 students from all faiths and corners of the world 🙂

When was your school established?

Our school was founded in May 2019, before Covid-19.

We are specialised in online education and have not opened after Covid-19 like many schools you may find online nowadays.

Where are your teachers from?

Most of our teachers are from the UK but we do have some international teachers. All our teachers are experts in the Cambridge Curriculum and are native speakers and qualified from certified UK institutions.

Where can I speak to my child's teachers?

Our LMS has a message section on students’ accounts where you can message the teachers.

How many lessons per day?

On average, children have between 3 to 4 lessons per day as per the Cambridge Framework. This varies per year group, please see the timetable samples for more insight.

Are your lessons live?

Yes, all our lessons are live and recorded for playback.

What happens if you miss a lesson?

All our lessons are live and recorded. They are available for playback on our LMS designed for online education.

When does school start?

School starts in September and ends in June. You may find our term dates by clicking here 🗓

How many subjects do you teach?

You may find the list of subjects with the timetables per year group.

Is there any socialising with students?

Yes, they can interact with each other in the class and also see each other through the cameras. Often they exchange phone numbers and meet up if they are in the same country. We had students travelling from one country to another to meet up 😃

Also, what parents do when they home educate their children is to enrol them in extracurricular activities and sports to socialise with other children. Have a look at a day in the life of a BOS student below

How to contact you?
Do you accept students from outside the UK?

Yes! We have students from all faiths in more that 20 different counties 🙂

Exams and Accreditation
Are you accredited?

Yes, we use the Cambridge Curriculum which is accredited and recognised worldwide.

What qualifications will my child receive?

No school delivers any certificates for Primary children because there are no exams up until Year 11 (Secondary) for the GCSEs/IGCSEs.
This is how the British curriculum is made.
When your child reaches Year 11, they will sit their exam at a recognised exam centre and obtain their certificate from Cambridge Examinations.

Are your certificates recognised?

Yes, the IGCSE certificate is recognised worldwide and issued by Cambridge Examinations.

What is the difference between GCSE and IGCSE?

IGCSE exams can be taken abroad, whereas GCSE exams may only be taken in the UK. That is the main difference.

As international qualifications, IGCSEs are on a par and fully recognised for acceptance on to A Level or other courses. However, you are advised to check with any professional body or further education institution to which you are thinking of applying to see which IGCSEs they require for admission.

Which exam board do you follow?

We teach the Cambridge International Curriculum, therefore all exams are with the Cambridge board.

Where can my child sit their exam?

We usually recommend our students to go to their local British Council to sit their exams. However, there are some schools that are open to private candidates. To find an exam centre near you, please click here 🏫

What are the payment types?

There is a 5% sibling discount from 3 children registered with us.
Will I need to purchase any books?

Yes, we will provide you with the list of books to purchase.

The books are available on Amazon and most of the bookstores worldwide.

What is your refund policy?

Tuition fees are refundable if you email us within 14 days of the enrolment date that you wish to cancel your registration.

After this time, refunds or exchanges will not be possible for the sustainability of the school. If you register during the Academic year (from the first day of school) and at least one class has been attended, the 14 days cancellation policy does not apply and no refund will be made. Please note that there are charges from the payment gateway and The School is not responsible for those.

Commitment is for the Academic Year.
